Quick Take: I love Jenny Hale’s writing and love the new Harpeth Road publishing group! She always seems to nail a great beach read or winter romance. Her books are always Hallmark Channel movie worthy, which is the epitome of what I look for in a women’s fiction or sweet romance pick.
This was such a sweet story; this was more about the story of the three women and the way the family comes together after the grandmother passes.
Themes & Topics: Sisters. Family. Finding your footing in life. Carving your own path. Being true to who you are, even if your family doesn’t agree. Finding ways to connect and be a family. Love. Fulfillment. Such a sweet story!
Working so hard in life to have professional success and realizing there’s more to life. It’s about who you share your life with, where you find your joy, family/creating your own family, and finding what makes you happy. A career is important and great if it fulfills you but it’s also important to have some balance; your whole life can’t just be your work.
I loved the part of the story that connects to butterflies from the title. It never occurred to me, that the struggle when they emerge from the cocoon is actually what helps them fly. The struggle is what makes them successful. Such a beautiful concept.
Favorite Quote: Sometimes the best parts of our lives come out of the things that make us feel the most uncomfortable.
Favorite Quote: Maybe life was supposed to be messy because it wasn’t up to anyone else to find us. It was up to us to find ourselves.
My Review Rating: 4.5/ 5
