Arielle’s Review Notes
Book Format & Source: Paperback purchased for book club read
Quick Take: I really enjoyed this book! I am working on implementing the self-talk exercises recommended throughout the book. It’s amazing what you can do when you change the way you speak to yourself. Reframing your thoughts speaks volumes and I’m excited to begin the journey of changing the way I speak to myself.
I loved the analogy of the mental apartment and the furniture that fills it.
Takeaways: The biggest takeaway is that you can reprogram the way you think by changing the way you talk to yourself. This books was filled with tons of inspiring soundbites. Don’t skim, do yourself a favor and read the whole book. It was a relatively quick read and simple to understand.
My Review Rating: 5 / 5
Recommendation: I would recommend this to everyone. Everyone has goals they want to achieve and many are looking for real solutions for various problems in their lives. I read this and discussed with a book club and everyone had positive feedback and loved the book as well!
Sharing is caring: If you enjoyed a book you read, one of the best things you can do for an author is to post a review on retailer book websites. Ratings and reviews (even super short reviews) are so incredibly helpful for both the author and future readers.
