January has come and gone and February is in full-swing. Have you made a dent in your TBR list? Hoping everyone had a wonderful start to the New Year!
My goal for 2020 was to 48 books and I ended up reading 76! I’m hoping I didn’t overshoot by a lot for my 2021 goal but I also wanted to push myself with a real challenge…. which leads me to share that my 2021 reading goal is 80 books [that’s an average of 6-7 books a month]. I read 8 books in January which means I’m in line with being on track for my goal!

January 2021 Wrap-Up
Today I’m sharing a wrap-up of the books I read in January. I read 8 books in January, in large thanks to discovering a love for audiobooks last year! Of the 8 books I read: 4 print, 3 audio, 1 e-book. I had one five star read, one 4.5 read, a few 4.0 and a few in the 3-3.5 range. I would say I had a wonderful reading month. I read books that I’d be wanting to read and read a ton of new-to-me authors! Click the pink link below to read my reviews and find out more about each book.
5 Star – Loved it!
- The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
4 – 4.5 Stars – Enjoyed it!
- How to Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams
- The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory
- Never Too Late by Robyn Carr
- Blowing My Way to The Top by Jen Atkin
3 – 3.5 Stars – Just Okay
- This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens
- Did My Love Life Shrink in the Wash? (The Callaghan Sisters #3) by Kristen Bailey
- Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover
Reading Statistics via the Bookly App
At the end of 2020 I discovered a bookish app from a fellow Bookstagrammer called the Bookly App. Thank goodness for this app! It has amazing statistics about the books I’ve read and it’s a great resource to track my thoughts and quickly jot down quotes while reading.
The only downside is that there’s an annual membership/subscription fee if you want to track more than 10 books total which is included in the free version of the app. Bookly Pro is a little expensive for an app coming in at $30 a year but you can use a friend’s referral code to get 30% off your first year. I HIGHLY recommend it and if you have the money it’s totally worth it!
