‘Take a Hint, Dani Brown’ is the second book in the Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert. I received a paperback copy of the book in my August 2020 ‘Books for Bubbly’ The Book Drop subscription. I love reading series and picked up the first one ‘Get a Life, Chloe Brown‘ to read first, then read this one. Scroll on to find out what I thought!

Review & Thoughts
Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
‘Take a Hint, Dani Brown’ is the second book in the Brown Sisters series. The first book is about Chloe and this book is about Danika, who goes by Dani. I would classify both books as steamy, intelligent, witty, romance, filled with interesting characters and lots of drama.
Although Dani and Chloe are sisters, they have very different personalities. This book has the same author voice as the first one and though it features completely different characters and personalities, it’s just as enjoyable and entertaining. I enjoyed the dynamics of Danika and Zafir’s friendship and blossoming fake relationship and I love that Chloe and Dani’s paths to love are as unique as they are.
I love the last passage of the book that sums up the overall feel of the book; loving someone the way they want to be loved isn’t a requirement but when you’re with the right person, when you’re with someone that loves you for who you are and you love them for who they are, you find yourself wanting to make them happy. Sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone to show them you love them in a way they appreciate and understand. At the end of the day, love is never about wanting to change someone to be how you want them to be. If you’re not happy with fundamental aspects of another person’s personality or lifestyle, they aren’t the right person for you. You shouldn’t want to change someone but it certainly doesn’t hurt if love includes growing together as individuals, bringing out the best in one another.
In a Nutshell: Great second book in a steamy intelligent romantic series. Looking forward to adding the third book to my TBR!
My Rating: 4 / 5 Stars

Book Blurb:
Talia Hibbert returns with another charming romantic comedy about a young woman who agrees to fake date her friend after a video of him “rescuing” her from their office building goes viral...
Danika Brown knows what she wants: professional success, academic renown, and an occasional roll in the hay to relieve all that career-driven tension. But romance? Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. Romantic partners, whatever their gender, are a distraction at best and a drain at worst. So Dani asks the universe for the perfect friend-with-benefits—someone who knows the score and knows their way around the bedroom.
When brooding security guard Zafir Ansari rescues Dani from a workplace fire drill gone wrong, it’s an obvious sign: PhD student Dani and ex-rugby player Zaf are destined to sleep together. But before she can explain that fact, a video of the heroic rescue goes viral. Now half the internet is shipping #DrRugbae—and Zaf is begging Dani to play along. Turns out, his sports charity for kids could really use the publicity. Lying to help children? Who on earth would refuse?
Dani’s plan is simple: fake a relationship in public, seduce Zaf behind the scenes. The trouble is, grumpy Zaf’s secretly a hopeless romantic—and he’s determined to corrupt Dani’s stone-cold realism. Before long, he’s tackling her fears into the dirt. But the former sports star has issues of his own, and the walls around his heart are as thick as his… um, thighs.
Suddenly, the easy lay Dani dreamed of is more complex than her thesis. Has her wish backfired? Is her focus being tested? Or is the universe just waiting for her to take a hint?
