I haven’t read a book by Sophie Kinsella in ages!
Growing up I fell in love with the Shopaholic series and was so excited that they made the first one into a movie. (And besides, who doesn’t love a fun Isla Fischer experience?!) I purchased a hardback copy of this in a recent book haul from Book Outlet and looked forward to enjoying a fun, light read. Today I’m sharing my review of the book. Scroll on to check it out!

Review & Thoughts
Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella
Finding Audrey was an enjoyable young adult novel by Sophie Kinsella. It wasn’t Kinsella’s usual writing style but overall it was a good read. The story touched upon serious issues like mental health. It gave an interesting perspective into a young girl’s life after she battles anxiety following an issue with a group of girls from school. Despite the heavy topic, it was filled with humor and wit.
One of the most important themes was how important it is to trust in the process of healing. I enjoyed the documentary style that was part of the process and I really loved that the main character’s name was Audrey and that her potential love interest was named Linus. If you’re a fan of the Audrey Hepburn movie Sabrina, this will click for you.
In a Nutshell: Young adult novel that touches upon serious mental health issues with humor and an overall enjoyable vibe.
My Rating: 4 / 5 Stars

Then her brother’s friend Linus stumbles into her life. With his friendly, orange-slice smile and his funny notes, he starts to entice Audrey out again – well, Starbucks is a start. And with Linus at her side, Audrey feels like she can do the things she’d thought were too scary. Suddenly, finding her way back to the real world seems achievable.
