This is my first DNF (did not finish) review in a long time. I’m a big fan of self-help and inspirational books but this just wasn’t for me. I gave this book my attention for two chapters before I gave up. There are tons of other reviews that hit on the exact reasons why I didn’t love it, so this will be short and not-so-sweet.
I’ve had this book recommended to me and in turn included it last year on my ‘18 Books to Read in 2018‘ list, which has been an extremely popular post due in large part to the wonderful world of Pinterest. I wanted to love this book but it just didn’t hit the mark for me.
I couldn’t connect with the author’s run-on thought process writing style. The overall flow of the chapters was a bit chaotic on top of the chatty writing. Long run-on paragraphs are difficult and unpleasant to read. Multiple sections with 25+ sentences in a paragraph? Come on girl, you need a better editor.
My Rating: 1 / 5 Stars – Did Not Finish
