As another year comes to a close I like to take time to sit down and think about how my year went. It’s odd to think that 2017 is over. Part of me still can’t believe that it is and the other part of me realizes that I had a fun year filled with lots of books, friends and a few very exciting events.
When I take a look at all of the books I read this year I can see that time passed us by, even if it felt quick this year. If you scroll on you’ll see I read quite a few books and surpassed my personal goal which was to read 52 books this year. To save you the trouble of counting, I read 80 books. Yup, 80! My favorite genre has always been women’s Fiction and Chick-Lit but towards the second half of the year I began branching out and found a love for business and personal development books. Surprising to my chick-lit loving self, my favorite reads this year were all non-fiction and mostly business or personal development related.
I credit my newfound love to the second half of this year when I discovered a monthly subscription box for female entrepreneurs called Sparkle Hustle Grow and it gets delivered in a hot pink box. The name and bright color of the box intrigued me, and when I learned what comes in it, I fell in love. Each month has a theme and comes with a business or professional development book, an online training, plus really fantastic office supplies. With a great book, continued technology education, and cute office supplies, what’s not to love?
