Unfiltered by Lily Collins
My Review:
I thoroughly enjoyed getting an inside look on Lily Collins and what has brought her to where she is today. I enjoyed her frank and upfront perspective on the good and bad times of her life thus far. I always enjoy learning about someone’s personal story and I admire her for being brave and sharing her innermost thoughts with her readers.
A few of my favorite quotes from the book:
‘Let’s proudly share our quirks. Be you and embrace your differences as things that make you unique and special. “Different” shouldn’t be considered confusing, negative, or something that divides us. It should be a quality we applaud and admire within ourselves and others.’
‘I want to look as strong as I feel. And in order to do all of that, I need to live my life for every moment and be truly present, not worried about things that are out of my control or trying to control everything within my power.’
‘I’m not getting any younger, and the sooner I accept my story for all that it is, and let go of the shame, regrets, and fear surrounding my experiences, the sooner I can just live, love, and be loved.’
My Rating: 5/5 Stars
I purchased a hardback copy of this novel. All reviews 100% reflect my honest opinion.
