It’s the third book in the series, and if you haven’t read them yet you’re seriously missing out! In addition to my review, I’ve also got an exclusive guest post from the author!!
Get Witch or Die Trying by Tonya Kappes
Book Blurb: When an arrest goes wrong and the perp ends up dead, SKUL special agent Mick Jasper is under investigation and stripped of his badge. SKUL hires Maggie Park not only because of her ability to blend in with society when undercover but her uncanny ability to know things she shouldn’t. Little does the agency know that Maggie is a witch and has special powers she uses to her advantage to clear special agent Jasper’s name and hopefully bring the real killer to justice before the killer figures out who she really is.

My Review
These books just keep getting better! This was my favorite one so far. ‘Get Witch or Die Trying’ continues Maggie Park’s life as she works on her Life’s Journey and helps SKUL while blending in and solving crimes and mysteries.
Filled with murder, mystery, mayhem and it has a very surprising ending in more ways than one! I can’t wait to read the next one! I loved the holiday theme that was added to the mix, which helped jump-start my holiday spirit.
5/5 stars for another spellbinding story
I received a complimentary Advanced Review Copy from the author as part of her Blogger Review Krew Team. All opinions are 100% my own.
Guest Post – written by Tonya Kappes
About a week before Halloween, I make sure that I head home to my parents house where they live a couple of hours away from me, and we carve pumpkins! Now…I do have four boys. At least I call them boys and they are really men now. . .but that’s a whole ‘nother story! My “boys” (ages 23, 19, 19, and 17) aren’t much into carving but my parents are!

I love to carve pumpkins the last couple of weeks before Halloween. First of Oct, I paint pumpkins so they last longer
great blog! I like baking the pumpkin seeds and playing with the goo but not much into actually making carvings.
Yes, but haven’t done it in awhile
Awesome post!! and I love the butler. That is adorable! Your pumpkin carving tradition sounds like fun. To be honest … we don’t really carve our pumpkins any more. We just keep them whole until right after thanksgiving and then we have a little bit of target practice with them. LOL!!!
I used to like carving pumpkins when I was a kid but I haven’t done it in years.
pumpkins are so fun to carve, you can get so creative, especially with pinterest ideas!
I don’t carve pumpkins anymore my kids are all grown
Love pumpkins but I am not creative. Love imaginative ones I see online
I used to enjoy carving pumpkins but haven’t for a while since we’re usually travelling over Halloween.
I do love to carve pumpkins, I haven’t done so in the last couple of years, but it is something that gives me joy to do…
Love carving them … then watching the squirrels eat them!!!
honestly i never tried but it could be fun ( thoug i’m not talented^^)
Love too and make roasted pumpkin seeds the best.
This year my husband grew pumpkins for the first time. We have one that he has already claimed as his “carver”. Now he just has to find the perfect pattern for it.
I like looking at carved pumpkins and admiring the creativity. The mess, not so much!
I don’t carve pumpkins because I am not good at it. My dad used to carve a pumpkin for my sister and me when we were growing up.
Nice review and guest post. Very nice. I don’t carve anymore. But I do love to see them when I’m out and about.
Thank you for your kind words! 🙂
I’ve NEVER done a pumpkin. Anything but a Libby’s can (which they say is not even PUMPKIN) is beyond me. No decorations here. Sigh.
Same here! I’ve only ever decorated pumpkins with sharpie/paint/glitter for fun. One of these years I’ll get around to learning to carve a fun pumpkin though!
Thank you for your kind words! Toasting the seeds sounds delicious 🙂
Love carving pumpkins & then toasting the pumpkins seeds with salt in the oven, yum. Thanks for this generous chance.
We carved pumpkins when our children were young. Now we paint faces on them, and after Halloween, cook the pumpkin for use in soup and baked treats
Not a pumpkin carver. I don’t like the smell.
No, I usually just cut myself when I try.
Yes, its fun to carve pumpkins! Love getting the guts out and getting the seeds out!!!
Love this post. I am not very good at carving pumpkins but I do like to do it cause it is gooey and fun. Love your books and you are very generous to your readers. Thank you.
I like to carve pumpkins, but I haven’t done it in a long time.
We usually don’t carve the pumpkins anymore we decorate with stickers or paint.
I like to decorate the outside.
Carving pumpkins is always a great time!
I enjoy carving pumpkins with my children ( who are now 27 and 30 ). My daughter will get very creative and mine will be traditional. We have painted pumpkins too- those will last until our next holiday!
Happy Halloween!
Ter
Oh yes. Paint a few, carve a few.
My daughter and I love taking different approaches to the Halloween Pumpkin. Some we might carve, some we decorate with paint or some other artsy items. That signifies Halloween for us.
Yes we make a party out of it and each person gets his/her own pumpkin to carve however they wish.
I love carving pumpkins, I love the fun that the kids and now grandkids have. My grandsons are both 3 now so it should be lots of fun this year! My daughters always loved carving their own pumpkins! We usually had at least one big one and they each got to pick out their own smaller one! Looks like you had lots of fun with your parents!
I don’t really like carving the pumpkin but I do love the memories that I have when my dad used to make the pumpkin seeds in the oven..and I like the memories I made with my kids while carving them..yes even the mess and hearing them say…”ewe gross” when they get to the guts..lol
I used to carve pumpkins with my son but I don’t do it any more.
Love carving them, and making pumpkin seeds!- And more,!!
I love seeing everyone else’s carvings because mine are so bad. And I love baked pumpkin seeds!
We never did the pumpkin things because we lived (and I still do) in an apartment.
We love carving the pumpkins the best!
