My Review
I love being on the Kappes blogging krew team! I must say there’s nothing quite like getting early access to Tonya’s wonderful magical stories!! June Heal’s story is based in Whispering Falls, a small town tucked away in Kentucky. The Magical Cure Mystery stories are consistently filled with magic, drama, a bit of romance and a dash of murder for wonderfully baked cozy mysteries.
I haven’t had the pleasure of reading all of the novels in the Magical Cure Mystery series, but I certainly have added them all to my TBR and intend to start from the beginning soon! Regardless of how excited I am to go back to the beginning, the novels read well on their own, and this novel is no exception.
A charming Voodoo will draw you in from the get-go and won’t loosen its grip until the very end. I must say I didn’t see the answers coming in this one, as there were only a few small clues that gave an indication of what was to come. I was pleasantly surprised by not knowing until the end!
Fun Fact: I was recently out of town on a long weekend vacation to Oregon. On the drive from Portland to Bend, we passed a campsite grounds called Whispering Falls! I was so incredibly excited to see that (even though I initially thought it was a sign for a town, not a campsite). How fun to wonder what the world would be like if Tonya’s Whispering Falls truly existed!! I highly recommend you go get yourself a copy of the Charming Cure novels and get lost in the magic!!
