My Review – Wicked Charms
Wicked Charms is the third novel in the Lizzy and Diesel series by Janet Evanovich and Phoef Sutton.
Lizzy Tukcer has special abilities. She works as a baker in a shop during the day, but she dabbles in special missions in her free time. In this novel we find her on a mission to help find special stones. If the stones are collected and all brought together by someone evil, they could quite literally destroy the planet. She works closely with Diesel on this mission, though this proves to be a difficult task. Not only is the mission itself dangerous, she also has to restrain herself with Diesel, as one of them could lose their powers if they take their desire for one another to the next level and sleep together. In between baking and working on finding the stones, she’s managed to write a cookbook that no one wants to publish…until she finds someone that makes her a deal she can’t refuse.
Wicked Charms is a classic Janet Evanovich novel, with the right mix of humor, fun, and romance to keep her readers entertained. It was a quick, fun read filled with interesting, strange and charming characters. This is definitely a book that will make you laugh! Filled with pirate talk and a bit of magic, this story set in Salem would be a fun Halloween time read, though can be enjoyed at any time of the year.
