Beauty Buzz – My First Influenster VoxBox – L’Oreal Ultimate Straight

loreal_19101119342_oLet me start off by saying how excited I was to receive the full line of the Ultimate Straight hair care products for free in exchange for a product review. I can’t believe they sent me full sized bottles of all four products!

I read about the products and found out that it’s a 3 step process plus an after shower balm. The pre-conditioner step 2, only gets used once a week but I believe you can use the shampoo, conditioner and balm as often as you wash your hair. I suppose you could use the shampoo and conditioner without the pre-conditioner step, but I honestly would suggest using it once a week as suggested on the bottle.

I have naturally straight hair, so I can’t honestly say if it did the job on straightening but I have to say my hair hasn’t felt this soft and luscious in a long time! I don’t color my hair or do major damage to it with heat products, I wash my hair about every third day because I’ve heard it’s better for your hair to not wash it everyday. Also, I’ve got really thick hair, so washing it everyday or even every other is a bit time consuming.

loreal_18476333064_oMy hair felt amazing after using the 4 products and I was curious to know if it’s like starting over each time you use it or if over time my hair would begin to be softer and straighter. I continued to use this product line over the past few weeks to see if it made a difference over time rather than just a one time thing… and the answer is yes! My hair has never been softer and the delicious smell lingers without overpowering my regular fragrance. The product claims that it keeps your hair shiny and straight for up to 48 hours, but I managed a good solid 72 hours out of it and my hair still looked great.

I loved this entire product line and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great product for smoother, softer and straighter hair! Once I use through my current hair care products, I’m heavily considering switching brands to L’Oreal Ultimate Straight. It’s nice to know that L’Oreal is a reasonably priced beauty brand that will leave my hair looking fabulous without breaking the bank.

If you’re interested in trying the product line, you can request a free sample on L’Oreal’s website, no purchase necessary! If you’re not looking for a straightening product line, L’Oreal also has a similar line for color treated hair or hair in need of total repair and they offer a free sample of the product line that will work best for you. I personally love getting a free sample of something before I take the plunge and purchase it. I always want to know that I’m going to like the product before spending money on it, whether it’s expensive or a good deal.

Products received and tested:

L’Oreal Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight: Straightening Shampoo

L’Oreal Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight: Pre-Conditioner

L’Oreal Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight: Straightening Conditioner

L’Oreal Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight: Straight Perfecting Balm

I’m new to the world of beauty blogging, but I believe people rate product reviews with a 5 star rating scale. I would give all four products in the Ultimate Straight hair care line 5 out of 5 stars for a combination of wear test satisfaction and price point.

*Please note that I received a free sample of the L’Oreal Ultimate Straight product line from Influenster in exchange for an honest review.
