I recently discovered something extremely exciting and wanted to share it with everyone. As you well know by now, I am an avid book-lover and book-blogger. I enjoy reading novels [mostly chick-lit and women’s fiction] and sharing my reviews on my blog in addition to Amazon and Goodreads. Over the past 7 or 8 months I have grown not only my blog follows and views, but also my interaction with the authors themselves.
To my fellow book bloggers, is there anything more exciting than having an author you admire tweet back at you or share your review on their Facebook page, or even better, comment on your actual blog post?! For me, it’s one of the most exciting things about social media and it never fails to make my day when it happens. There have been a few authors in particular that have stood out to me in terms of their social media involvement, in addition to their obviously fabulous and entertaining novels. It’s always wonderful to know that what we do as book bloggers is appreciated and acknowledged.
Speaking of acknowledgement, I’m finally getting to the exciting tidbit I want to share…
In Carla Caruso’s third installment of her Astonvale series, Pretty Famous, she mentioned me and my blog in the acknowledgments of the novel! “To book bloggers such as Arielle Deltoro from Living Life With Joy, Renee of Hey Said Renee, and Jody of A Spoonful of Happy Endings (the list goes on!). Your dedication to books warms the hearts of scribes like me!”
I was overwhelmed and honored to have been mentioned in the acknowledgments of a novel, and to make matters even more exciting, it came from one of my favorite authors! So here’s a big huge thank you to Carla for recognizing the effort we make as book bloggers and appreciating the dedication we put into what we do!! If you haven’t heard of Carla’s work or haven’t gotten around to getting her novels from your ‘TBR’ List to your ‘Read’ List, check out my reviews on her work below and get inspired to go read them all! ❤

Connect with the Author
Carla Caruso was born in Adelaide, grew up amid a boisterous extended Italian family – yet somehow managed to become a bookworm…
Carla always wanted to be a novelist, annoying the kindergarten teachers by dictating long, detailed stories to them. It just took her a while to realise her childhood dream – journalism seemed a more practical course. Her media career has included stints as a newspaper and magazine journalist, government PR and fashion stylist. These days, she works as a freelance journalist and copywriter. She began seriously writing fiction three years ago when she went freelance full-time.
The romance genre appeals as she is a sucker for rom-coms (especially if Channing Tatum is in the mix) and likes to think her Italian ancestry means she lives with passion. Hobbies include watching trashy TV shows, fashion (her mum named her after Carla Zampatti!), astrology and running. She lives in Adelaide.
