I guess you could say I took the weekend off from doing anything even slightly productive. I started off Friday with the intentions of having a productive couple of days. More specifically, I wanted to write reviews for the six, yes SIX books that I have read but didn’t get around to writing the review for yet. I feel bad that I haven’t written them yet, mostly because they were all (except one that was just okay) fabulous books and I wanted to post my reviews for them as quickly as possible. One of my goals for the year is to stop putting things off, but another one of my goals is learning to let things go.
So, I decided to allow myself a few days to just be. I didn’t do anything exercise or fitness related, I ate whatever I felt like, whenever I felt like, and I enjoyed a mostly relaxing, unproductive weekend. Of course, I woke up today feeling a bit lazy about it and silly that I wasted time when I have quite a few things on my to-do list. Today I’m going to try to get back into the swing of things in terms of being healthy and productive. I’m going to try to tackle a few of the things on my to-do list and start getting around to writing some of the reviews that have been waiting on me. It feels good to take some time for yourself with no expectations of getting things done, but you really can’t sit around for too long before you realize that you need to check off a few of the things on your list and be productive. Cheers to having a productive week! <3
