Today I’m sharing a quick review of a paranormal cozy mystery to get you in the Halloween spirit!
If You’ve Got It, Haunt It by Rose Pressey
A Haunted Vintage Mystery #1
This is the first in a series of five novels. The story takes place in Sugar Creek, Georgia and their town is famous for sweet tea and southern charm. Cookie Chanel owns a vintage shop called Its Vintage Y’all and she mostly finds her vintage pieces at estate sales. A wealthy woman was recently murdered and when Cookie attends the estate sale she’s in for more than she bargained for.
I enjoyed the author’s writing style and the way small clues were included throughout the story to help you figure out the whodunnit. I liked that fashion clues helped solve the mystery in the end and the cute fashion touches throughout. I liked Cookie’s character and since this book came out a few years ago I’m excited to see there’s more in store. One of my favorite supporting characters was Cookie’s adorable and strangely special cat.
My Rating: 4/5 Stars

Book Blurb: Cookie Chanel has a passion for fashion–and a murder mystery to solve!
Cookie Chanel has opened her own vintage clothing boutique, It’s Vintage, Y’All, in the charming town of Sugar Creek, Georgia. Always on the lookout for stylish second-hand steals, she attends the estate sale of deceased socialite Charlotte Meadows. But she gets a lot more than she bargained for when Charlotte’s ghost appears before her–offering fashion advice and begging Cookie to find out who murdered her.
As the persistent poltergeist tags along and a possibly psychic pussycat moves into the shop, Cookie sorts through racks of suspects to see who may be hiding some skeletons in the closet. Do a clothing store owner and a disembodied socialite have a ghost of a chance of collaring a killer–or will Cookie’s life be the next one hanging by a thread?
